This mature 18 hole woodland course was established in the late 1960s. At 6,600 yards off the blue tees the challenging course is championship length and is the work of renowned Canadian golf architect, Commander John D Harris. Playable all year round, no two holes are alike. The Commander has made imaginative use of streams, lakes, and tree-lined fairways with water coming into play on 10 of the holes. This is a course to be respected; a good scorecard can be suddenly ruined if the challenges of each hole are not carefully considered.

Driving through narrow country lanes, you immediately sense a slower pace and feel the stress of modern life drain away as you arrive at Gatton Manor. The AA 3 star facilities, together with the high standard of friendly service offers you an informal environment to relax and recharge your batteries. The hotel has 18 bedrooms, a mixture of twin or doubles, many of which are situated in the manor house. The Manor House bedrooms were fully refurbished in early 2007.

The Deluxe rooms with King size beds and a balcony overlooking the stunning course provide all the comfort expected of a suite at affordable prices. All the bedrooms are en-suite, equipped with television, telephone and tea/coffee making facilities. The Manor House bedrooms have work space with Broadband Internet connectivity; this is also available in the residents lounge. The best rooms are south facing with enchanting views across the golf course and several open on to balconies.
