Located at the foot of the Cairngorms Spey Valley Golf Course is simply a must play golf course. Spey Valley Golf Course is set to open during the spring of 2006 and will be one of Scotland's newest championship golfing venues. The 18 hole layout will measure almost 7200 yards from the Championship Tees and feature one of the longest par 5 holes in Scotland - 641 yards in length.

The golf course has been designed by Dave Thomas - famed for designing The Belfry and Roxburghe. Dave Thomas believes that his latest design in the Highlands of Scotland could be one of the best yet. With the river Spey flowing alongside the undulating fairways, the silver birch lining the majority of holes and the Cairngorm Mountains as a backdrop, it is easy to see why Spey Valley Golf Course will prove to be a must play golfing venue. Each hole has its own stunning views, whether it be the magnificent water features or the brooding mass of Braeriach and Bynack More.

Alongside this must play golfing venue is the stunning Macdonald Aviemore Highland Resort. The Macdonald Highlands Hotel within the resort has been redesigned in a contemporary style, demonstrating that a top quality Scottish hotel does not need heather and tartan. The hotel includes a stylish restaurant with magnificent views, private dining and cocktail bar.
