The Hunting course measuring 7073 yards from the championship tees, was designed by Dave Thomas and incorporates forest, parkland, and moorland with an abundance of lakes and streams. The challenging par 4 9th is played over water through a narrow avenue of towering trees and dense rhododendrons and recognised as the signature hole of the resort. The Hunting Course is an official PGA European Tour Venue.

The Priestman course designed by PGA Chairman Neil Coles, is of equal length and standard as the Hunting course, making De Vere Slaley Hall one of the few resorts in Britain with two genuine championship courses. The Priestman opened May 1989 and is situated in 280 acres of beautiful moor land, offering you panoramic views over the Tynedale valley. The course annually hosts an event on the European Seniors Tour.
