Designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus, the course at Hanbury Manor Golf Club is a true test of nerve, character, mental and physical strength and much, much more besides. Indeed, weighing in at a hefty 7016 yards from the tee on the first hole to the pin on eighteenth, it is one of the longest - indeed, perhaps, the longest - in the whole of Hertfordshire. It first opened its doors in a blaze of publicity in 1990, and since then has gone on to become one of the most well respected and well known golfing venues in the region. As you might expect it is kept in outstanding condition all year round thanks to the dedicated efforts of the greenkeeping staff. Hanbury Manor has hosted the English Open on the European Tour and seen many of the greats tread its fairways.
